I Wish I

Before Jejune and before Kill Holiday, there was I Wish I from San Diego, California. They played for over seven years breaking it up in late 2000. Joe Guevara, being the co-singer/songwriter of Jejune did much of the same writing and singing for I Wish I.

Now defunct, I Wish I was a band from San Diego, California. Eventually, they broke up because their other bands seemed to supercede them in terms of growth and accessibility. Joe spent half of his time writing for both Jejune and I Wish I, Gabe Gamboa started establishing himself in Kill Holiday, June Cate, as well in Impel and as a pro skater, and Jay as a bad ass martial artist that can strike faster blows than 400 Blows. They toured some but mainly around the west coast. The DC modified sounds that created I Wish I lasted till their last recordings which are unreleased and unavailable at this point.

*In late 2007, the band reformed playing their first show in 7 years. They are currently
in the studio writing new material.
