The Braille Night (CD)
When Ida released Will You Find Me (Tiger Style) to overwhelming critical praise in the
summer of 2000, word was already out about The Braille Night. Ida had recorded enough
material for two full length albums while signed to Capitol records, and the second album
The Braille Night was a few mixes away from completion. Following 6 months of touring in
support of Will You Find Me, Ida stepped out of their van and back into the studio to put the
finishing touches on what is now their fifth full-length, The Braille Night.
Most of the songs on The Braille Night were recorded during the Will You Find Me
sessions. Incorporating some of the sonic and improvisational elements of their recent tours,
but always placing experimentation in the service of the songs, the sound of this record is
darker and looser than previous Ida releases. Haunting, minimalist, and breathtakingly
