2006, Frenchkiss
Recorded with J. Robbins, Ideal Lives is beautiful and unattractive, sinister and hopeful at once. The record is a true testament to the progression and diligence of a band constantly evolving. There's something to be said about the sound of a Rahim song; it's encoded in every fiber of every song the band puts forth. It's an overwhelming sense of identity and it has been with the band since the very beginning.

Patrick McNamaraA great ''next'' step for one of my favorite bands. Rahim's debut EP on French Kiss was a spazzy art-pop delight...those elements are still in place on ''Ideal Lives'' but with a much more sunshine pop bent. This is an incredibly catchy record.
