Impeccable Blahs is the fourth Say Hi To Your Mom record. It's also a record about vampires. Not creepy, goth vampires but rather people just like you and me who happen to get their nourishment from drinking blood. Like its three predecessors, the new full-length finds Eric Elbogen mumbling, whispering and shouting over his quirky indie rock compositions, but 'Blahs' introduces longtime touring members Chris Egan III and Jeff Sheinkopf to the recording process, resulting in what people are saying is the most vibrant Say Hi record to date.

Eric PerkinsSHTYM is by far one of my favorite new bands of the last few years and I was really looking forward to this album. Unlike the three previous three albums, I didn't take to this one right away. I was also surprised by the theme, though if I'd read the liner notes first, I wouldn't have been: "Impeccable Blahs is a record about vampires. Not creepy, goth vampires but rather people just like you and me who happen to get their nourishment from drinking blood." And really, every song is about vampires. That said, I've warmed up to it a lot and it's a great addtion to Eric Elbogen's repetoire. I challenge you not to sing along with "These Fangs" and "Sweet Sweet Heartkiller".
