2005, Touch & Go
Kazu Makino is from Japan, while Simone and Amedeo Pace (twin brothers) are from Italy. The band name, Blonde Redhead, comes from a song by the band DNA, a seminal no-wave New York City band from the early '80's (a band Blonde Redhead loves – and more). Now they're making their own music, inspired by that sound, that's lovely and achy and angular all at the same time.
