2009, Spectral Sound
Audion (Matthew Dear) releases some sneak-peak tracks that are deeper and darker than ever before, while maintaining an irresistible, lose-your-mind edge. The title track is a polyrhythmic mishmash of clicks, clacks, and distant children's voices until a fleet of synthesizers produces waves of electronic noise. 'Jukebox Hero' features soulful 808 claps while a pack of unruly computers lose their shit in the background. 'On My Way To The Center' is menacing, honing its beef-slap kickdrum into a deadly weapon.
