The Blackout consist of six riff-gunning reprobates from Merthyr Tydfil in Wales and cranking up that engine they most certainly have been over the past couple of years, taking their hectic, heroic rock noises to places far, wide and further and wider still. By the time Fierce Panda picked up on the band in the middle of 2006 they had already played 100 gigs with no label or booking agent doing their dirty work. And throughout that time 'It's High Tide Baby!' casually evolved into the band's calling card, their screamo anthem, the thinking and drinking fans' favourite. It's amazing the effect a few heartfelt massive 'Woah! Woah!s' in a chorus can have on a moshpit.
