Jane is one of the side projects from Animal Collective's Panda Bear. Stemming from a love of dance and dance music, most of the tracks were created on the spot, with stream of conscious lyrics. As Panda Bear says, "We liked all the mechanical robo dance jams from Detroit and Chicago and Germany but we wanted to do something with less 0s and 1s and more souls. Mostly it was about hanging out together and talking and playing music that was about talking together and hanging out and thinking and feeling and having fun and dancing most of all." The band has two previously released CDRs that were sold exclusively at NY's Other Music, but this is their first official release.
