Los Angeles indie pop fixture Jeremy Jay plays dreamy, stream-of-consciousness music inspired by synth pop, '50s innocence, and above all, movies. His Dreamwalker EP was conceived as the soundtrack to a short film by the same name, starring Jay; St. Ives released it as a handmade, limited edition of 300 copies in May of 2007. That November, he returned with the Airwalker EP, his K Records debut; that December saw the release of the We Were There single. VINYL FORMAT. Slow Dance starts with a bang. It navigates listeners through forests and over star streams as easily as walking through the streets, before it shifts to dance floor romance and night-time escapades. There is a consistent, mysterious sway; a strong will backed by noble guitars and shiny synths. Amidst, Jay is protective and candid, inviting listeners to dance with a whisper. A romance of dreams and realities, full colors, ice skates, and disco lights.

VINYL FORMAT. This is a debut album containing ten songs, but really it is a cinematic escapade into the mind of a singular individual, Jeremy Jay. A Place Where We Could Go is a statement of fiction and fact, exploring the shadowy depths of an attitude: the romance of life without the people and things that pull down the corners; create your own world. This universe may have a fairy tale look; it may be illuminated by streetlight. But it will definitely be a safe haven for the exploration of dreams.   [ read more ]

Jeremy Jay lives in Angel town, next to Larchmont where he hangs out. He's tall (6'3) blond (really) and handsome and wants a cat for his appartment. He writes and plays piano and guitar.
