Lida's only rock release on the Caroline Records label, (the other two were electronica released on Astralwerks/Caroline) this cd compiles songs produced in three different studios, plus one track from the electronic release 'Evening at the Grange' on Astralwerks ('Starburst 7', which was also a Rough Trade single on vinyl in the UK.) Most of the material on 'Joyride' was recorded at WGNS Studios in DC with Geoff Turner, who would produce Lida's later rock record 'Fly Stereophonic' at WGNS with Charles Bennington.
