2005, The Social Registry
TK Webb plays an average of three shows a week in New York City reanimating elements of the blues to create a truly modern music. KCK, his second record, is a collection of eight songs that attempt to render the psychic landscape of a section of Kansas City Kansas near where TK was born. While many people today frolic in the pastoral fields of psychedelic-folk-love, TK's music mines darker and deeper places. The resulting music is all at once psychedelic, musical and narrative; providing the listener with a multi-layered experience that is both dark and celebratory and which may be a perfect definition of the blues.
