'The sound of this group reminds me of dancing to the new James Brown 7' in the record shops on Clarkson Avenue with my sister when we were 6 & 8 years old' -Nicole Willis. Willis started out in London in the mid-80's where she teamed up with members of The Brand New Heavies. Later, having returned to NYC, she was part of the earliest line-up of Deee-lite. Here Nicole joins up with well known Finish funksters Soul Investigators, to carve out an album of classic brilliance. a 70s-styled set that would easily stand alongside the best from King, Brunswick, or Curtom from years back.
