This is the Winter Holiday according to Kill Rock Stars, featuring previously unreleased songs by KRS and 5RC artists. Rather than sticking with tradition and writing only idealized images of the Winter Holiday, these songs reflect the wide variety of experiences people have at this time, the family turmoil as well as the joy.

This record has a little bit of everything. We get originals from Imaad Wasif, The Robot Ate Me, the Mary Timony Band, Beth Ditto of The Gossip, Phranc, Thao Nguyen, Sport Murphy, and Slumber Party, while Paper Chase do a John & Yoko cover, The Everyothers do a Pretenders song, Gold Chains do an Erasure cover, Excepter does Little Drummer Boy, and Octis does a traditional medley.
