VINYL FORMAT. The name Brandon Butler may not be as familiar as the bands this prolific songwriter has founded (Boy's Life, Farewell Bend, Canyon), but on his new solo album Killer On The Road, Butler jettisons the bulky entourage to reveal a collection of finely honed, world-weary songs that evoke early Neil Young or even Steve Earle. Butler co-produced the record with Fugazi veteran Brendan Canty (Ted Leo's Tyranny of Distance) and is joined by cellist and pianist Amy Domingues (Garland of Hours, Threnody Ensemble). The coming months find Butler supporting his brilliant, long overdue debut on tour with such luminaries as Jay Farrar (Wilco), Chris Mills, and more!
