While debating the merits of analog vs. digital recording in a Seattle pub, guitarist Chris Martin and bassist Lucy Atkinson were interrupted by the bartender, drummer Dave Weeks. He said, definitively, that analog was superior; thus Kinski came into being. This specially-priced collaboration between Seattle's Kinski and Japanese psych-monsters Acid Mother's Temple was fueled by cheap shochu, which apparently leaves a stunning hangover. The two collaborative tracks, "It's Nice To Hear Your Voice" and "Planet Crazy Gold" are bookended by Kinski's "Fell Asleep On Your Lawn" and AMT's "Virginal Plane," both new and exclusive.
