L.I.F.E. Span

Longstone have often been compared to the classic Kraut rock acts( Cluster, Kraftwerk)as well as more recent mavericks (Autechre, Kriedler). They draw on a whole range of influences as wide spread as Aphex Twin, My Bloody Valentine, E.A.R. Julian Cope etc. They have recently been collaborating in the studio with Sonic Boom and separately with Wil Sergeant. They have previously also worked with Paul Simpson of Skyray (ex Teardrop Explodes and Wild Swans) and formed an integral part of the legendary Serpents project which also featured members of Ectogram, Super Furry Animals, Gorkys and many more. L.I.F.E.span is a collage of sound composed, recorded and produced by Longstone. It illustrates their obsession with multiple sound sources and blends their collection of analogue synths and electronic toys with found sounds, live recordings, samples and acoustic instruments.
