The Spanish band Migala return, and their new album is full of life. These ten songs hover in an eternal renewal of energy and reflect all the colors of the rainbow: from the math-rock of “El Tigre Que Hay En Ti” to the border references of “Sonnenwende,” from pop-folk classicism of “Your Star, Strangled” to the epic “Lecciones De Vuelo Con Mathias Rust" and the poetic pieces like “El Gran Miércoles” (one of the two songs on the record where Abel Hernández sings). All in all, “La Increíble Aventura” is a complex, sincere record that appeals more to the heart than the mind, a compilation of songs that can be labeled as rock post (rather than post-rock). The rebirth of Migala.
