Lakewood

Having collaborated in the past with some great studio forces on the Chicago scene, this release marks an important stage in Euphone's progression. For the first time in the band's career, they worked in the studio sans outside assistance. No engineers, no producers, no outside musicians, no outside suggestions. Just the band and their ambition to make a smoking record, one which they could call their own. So they take some chances. There are two tracks with vocals, a beautiful solo piano piece by Jacobsen, a ripping guitar opener, and a quality rendering of Coltrane's 'Countdown'; solid proof that The Lakewood is essential Euphone.
