L.A.'s The Flower Machine are a more lysergic, psychedelic The Clientele meets Belle and Sebastian. Lead singer Peter Quinnell grew up near Amsterdam, became a big fan of local faves Golden Earring, and cites Syd Barrett as a major influence. Mellotrons and backwards cymbals are notable features of their recordings.
