Le Tigre features Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill, Julie Ruin, The Fakes, and Suture), filmmaker Sadie Benning (after this release, Sadie left and was replaced by JD Samson), and Johanna Fateman. The trio use samples, claves, farfisa, a live dj, guitar, voices, and beats to make their poignant-but-danceable music. Their sound touches on conceptual garage, digital anthemic, political sadness, and unfinished soundtracks...a darn good record.
