2011, Nacional Records
Hello Seahorse! broke through Mexico City's competitive indie rock scene with 2010's seminal disc Bestia The critically-acclaimed album was spotlighted with a variety of major accolades (including two Latin Grammy nominations). For their new album, Lejos, No Tan Lejos, Hello Seahorse! enlisted Money Mark (of Beastie Boys fame) for production. Mark had originally invited the group to record at his home studio in Los Angeles after the band blew him away in a Mexico City concert. Hello Seahorse! formed in 2005 with lead vocalist Lo Blondo, bassist/keyboard player Oro De Neta and drummer Bonnz.
