Let's Get Out of This Terrible Sandwich Shop

From Chicago, this group started as a one-man-band for Annoyance Theater's Tony Mendoza, who played drums, Farfisa, sand and self-released the Hatchet/Misery Tomb 7" in 2005. Improv friends Thea (pronounced Tay-uh) Lux and Joanna Buese (pronounced Bee-zee) joined the Sandwich Shop that year, adding guitar, kazoogle and harmony to this "one-man-band-with-people."
Let's Get Out of This Terrible Sandwich Shop released a self-titled EP in 2006 and played shows in NYC, Cincinnati, Dayton, Indianapolis, Iowa City, and Nashville.
The live show is a combination of music and weird comedy, featuring a cat who is always under the weather.
Good friend Captain Tom Cuidado joined the group, playing Farfisa, guitar, and drums in the summer of 2006. Now the Sandwich Shop is an actual band.
With the opening of the Annoyance Theaterin July of 2006 at 4840 N Broadway in Chicago's Uptown, the members of the Sandwich Shop have a weekly outlet for comedy again, and use the band to focus on music.
Look for a new album in 2007 called "Listening," as well as a 7", both recorded by Greg Norman at Studio Greg Studios II.
