Debut album from this power-pop-rock Detroit band. "Originally known as The Neptunes, Mood Elevator continues to pump out hook-filled pop tunes that stick in your head and put you in a good mood. If you think this gang looks a lot like Brendan Benson and the Wellfed Boys, you're right. It's the same folks, just switched around a bit. In Mood Elevator, Chris Plum pens the tunes and is out front while Brendan Benson provides support with backup vocals and guitar. While Zach Shipps continues to play with Mood Elevator, he has left the Wellfed Boys to rock out with Electric Six. Though Mood Elevator and Brendan Benson appear the same, they sound a bit different.
