Live at Copenhagen

"Our release of Copenhagen is the sole testament to the Galaxie 500 live experience. Danish National Radio recorded this December 1, 1990 performance on a 24-track mobile studio at a tiny club called the Barbue at the end of a long, and their last, European tour. The band was at their pinnacle, and amidst the drunken Danes, breaking glass and screams of ""It’s Christmas!,"" the magic of their live show was in full effect that night at the Barbue. From the initial strumming of the opening chords of ""Decomposing Trees"" to the feedback drenched guitar, this tracklist showcases the band at both extremes -- fiery and (dare we say) psychedelic, yet subtle and musically sophisticated. Standout moments include "Summertime," and the Naomi-sung cover of Yoko Ono’s "Listen the Snow is Falling.""
