Live at Mohawk Place

The legendary Japanese female indie rockers, Shonen Knife, present a new live DVD in on Good Charamel Records entitled Live at the Mohawk. Shonen Knife toured the US and Canada in support of their Super Group CD in fall of 2009. The girls visited thirty cities in thirty-five days performing songs from their 20+ years of releases. The DVD was filmed at the very last show of the Super Group North American Tour at Mohawk Place in Buffalo, NY. Even though the schedule was very tight, the members brought great energy into the show. You can see that girls really enjoyed the North American tour including Buffalo wings, burgers, and most importantly, the time that they shared with fans. Lead singer and founder Naoko mentioned that British Metal was a big influence on her when writing the Super Group album, so along with this blazing set of fan favorites you will experience Shonen Knife's more metallic side through some of their newer songs. If you've attended a live show, Shonen Knife's Live at the Mohawk will remind you of the energy that you felt from the girls that night. If you've never seen a show, you will feel like you were right there having the time of your life with the band and their fans. In addition, the band's drummer, Etsuko, left Shonen Knife shortly after this tour, so here's a last chance to see her incredibly energetic performance with SK on this live DVD.
