VINYL FORMAT. Issued on 180 g vinyl spread over two LPs! This album represents the entirety of the first concert (out of four) of the Doors' legendary 1970 run at the Felt Forum, taken from the acclaimed Live in New York six-CD box set. Recorded on January 17 - just a few weeks before the release of Morrison Hotel - this concert finds Jim Morrison, John Densmore, Robby Krieger, and Ray Manzarek locked in tight as they deliver smoking takes on songs from their forthcoming album, classics from the band's 1967, self-titled debut, and a number of driving blues covers. Sadly, this show represents one of The Doors' final New York City performances with Morrison, who passed away July 3, 1971.
