"Fourteen minutes and 45 rpms. Mayhem and possibly even a murder. It's fast, fast, and faster. Loud, loud, and louder. And could the songs get any shorter? They've already won over just about everyone with their San Diego hardcore goes grind, plus bonus kooky Devo effects. You know, powerviolence mixed with tacky new wave keyboards. This is, to date, their best recorded effort and the most true to where they're at live. The keyboards definitely seemed to have been stepped up since their seven-inch (this is the first record Joey has played keyboard on) and in parts it seems that the keyboards got the better of the mix. They seem almost over exaggerated on this record. I bet if the Muppet Babies had a metal band they'd sound like The Locust. But in all seriousness, this record rips.
