VINYL FORMAT. Perhaps best known for his arrangements on Frank Sinatra's classic 1950s Capitol Records releases, Nelson Riddle was also an accomplished and popular soundtrack composer. This is the deluxe gatefold 180 gram vinyl edition of his 1962 original score for Stanley Kubrick's classic film Lolita. It contains 'Lolita Ya Ya' (reprised in a slightly longer version as 'Charlotte Is Dead'), a maddeningly vapid and catchy track with nonsense vocals that comes across as a simultaneously vicious and good-humored parody of the kitschiest elements of early '60s rock 'n roll.
