LoneLady
LoneLady is a pseudonym of Manchester, UK musician Julie Campbell, who plays guitar, keyboards and cello, as well as singing.
In 2009, she signed to Warp and a début album followed, "Nerve Up" (22 Feb 2010, Warp). From this, two singles were released: "Immaterial" (9 Nov 2009, Warp) and "Intuition" (Dec 2009, Warp).
Her début recording was the 4-track single "Hi Ho Bastard/Fear No More" (Jun 2005, Filthy Home Recordings), followed by the EP "Have No Past" (Oct 2005, Filthy Home).
Her first show outside Manchester was at SXSW 2006, Texas, where she was invited to play, on the strength of these 4-track recordings. Billboard listed her in their ‘Ones to watch’, in a SXSW 2007 preview feature.
