Lonesome

With the newly released EP Lonesome, The Rosewood Thieves have put out two of the best EPs of the last year and have started that yester-year midnight ramblin' roots revival with their own modern day, thin, wild mercury sound. Think of their first EP From The Decker House as a mix of The White Album 'n Harvest. But on their second EP Lonesome the band has taken a slightly more adventurous route and sounds like it belongs down 'round the bend on Nashville's Music Row, an album that's heavy on the heartbreak and country tinged indie twang. But what The Rosewood Thieves have done here is not sacrilegious. They haven't turned their back on anything, this is a band of musical mavericks that's just getting started.
