Picture the pop genius of The Beatles mixed with Beck's hipster appeal and the "bratty swagger" of the Beastie Boys. Lorenzo Goetz is not a person, but rather one of Champaign-Urbana's hardest working bands. The lineup features Larry Gates on vocals and guitar, Josh Miethe on guitar and backing vocals, bassist Eric Fisher and Jesse Greenlee on drums and backing vocals.

While often jumping genres, the band has found their sound to be consistantly rooted in neck-breaking grooves. Diversity has allowed the group to share the stage with a number of different acts.
