Lucky Star

VINYL FORMAT. Smart lads, Basement Jaxx, who've recruited the terminally stroppy Dizzee Rascal to front this first single from the excellent 'Kish Kash' album. 'Lucky Star' contains more good ideas in four minutes than the entire Top 40 in most weeks, frequently sounding like about four records playing simultaneously. Four brilliant records, too, with the most prominent being the kind of cod-Arabic swirl that's exoticised so many fine hip-hop tunes in the past couple of years.
