Recorded in 2000, M83 is M83's first album (recorded before Dead Cities, Red Seas and Lost Ghosts), never before domestically released. Originally released by the French label, Gooom in 2001, M83 introduces the group as the original two-piece: Anthony Gonzalez and Nicolas Fromageau, who later left M83 after the 2nd recording, Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts.
