2009, Love|Hate Records | Look Again Media
At last, the much anticipated full length debut from New Brunswick NJ's Rapid Cities! Formed in the blooming season of 2006, Anthony Battiato, John Terry, Cassidy McGrath and Shaun Seneviratne have since been writing and playing their own version of life set to rhythm, no matter how jarring it might be. While their Jersey punk rock pedigree runs deep (Cass played in the legendary NJ hardcore band Purpose in the late 90s), these guys are doing something totally fresh to their native basement scene's ears.
"These New Brunswick kids debut LP is a fantastic collection of post-hardcore rockers, drawing inspiration from the early '90s DC scene and adding some nice mathy dynamics to their strong melodies. Articulate and intelligent, Rapid Cities inject powerful musicianship over dissonant guitar work and driving rhythms...Ultimately Rapid Cities are paving a path all their own and this is an excellent starting point." - Tom Haugen
