Minotaur Shock is David Edwards, lead singer of Bronze Age Fox, electronic musical marvel, and remixer du jour. His records of the last five years, while nodding in the direction of Boards Of Canada, Manitoba, and FourTet, have managed to avoid the folktronica scene. As much as he admires luminaries like Kraftwerk, Brian Eno, and Philip Glass, he also carries a heavy torch for FM rockers Steely Dan and The Cars. This new record is a more upbeat affair.
