VINYL FORMAT. 'We asked Holly Golightly to describe the songs on her new album with The Brokeoffs, Medicine County, and wanted to share her pithy, pitch-perfect responses. Now if we could just get her to open a Twitter account. . . "Forget It": We wanted to do a song that people could ice skate to. This is it. But roller-skating would also work fine. "Two Left Feet": This is a song for anyone who can't dance. . . alternatively it has become known as our porno number. "Medicine County": This number is but a tiny segment of our life. "Murder in My Mind": We wanted to include a Wreckless Eric song, and a song that anybody could identify with. This was not written as a love song, but it did come to sound like one when arranged as a duet. "Dearly Departed": We had use of a church organ for this record. This is the hymn to go with it. "Blood on The Saddle": This was a childhood favorite of Dave's [of The Brokeoffs], and recently he has come to appreciate the true meaning of it. I have appreciated the true meaning of it many times over. "When He Comes": This song was inspired by some true events that are yet to come, apparently. "Escalator": We also wanted to include a Tom Heinl song. This is another song that anybody can identify with. It was not written as a love song and it did not become a love song either. "Eyes in The Back of My Head": A song for those who weren't as smart as they thought they were, that one time. "Don't Fail Me": A song for those who weren't as smart as they thought they were, over an extended period of time. "Can't Lose": Another song for those who weren't as smart as they thought they were. . . just in case they were still thinking they were. "Jack O'Diamonds": This traditional song was particularly apt for us to do a version of, as we have gambled in England and in Spain.' - Shore Fire Media
