Mega Rama

Radical Dads was founded in 2008 along the banks of the Gowanus Canal. Lindsay Baker sings and plays the guitar. Robbie Guertin (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah) sings and plays the drums. Chris Diken plays the guitar and does not sing. "We didn't intend for the album to have a single central theme, but a diligent lyric transcriptionist might find a lot of disaster references and imagery. We're not disaster enthusiasts, but we do seem to be surrounded by it these days, both the natural and synthetic kinds. Other fleeting concepts include: art and the people who make it, desert architecture, the sea, California, the fossil record, and piracy." The band released its self-titled EP in May 2009 and the Recklessness 7-inch in December 2010. Radical Dads' first full-length album, Mega Rama, is being released by Uninhabitable Mansions, an art collective and record label based in Brooklyn, NY. In addition to disaster and piracy, Radical Dads' interests include land use, feedback, distortion, and feedback-laced distortion.
