Three years after his groundbreaking album The Meaning (Playhouse, 2004) Thomas Melchior presents his new longplayer No Disco Future. Skills and experiences Thomas gained throughout the years are innumerous. To mention just a few: along with Tim Hutton he formed the Duos Vulva and Yoni who were releasing on Aphex Twin's label Rephlex, on the U.S. label Reflective, and for German electronica pioneers, Source Records. With his mate Peter Ford, he forms the duos Sunpeople and Soul Capsule (and various others). The new album sounds less micro-house and more homogeneous. Slightly spherical soundscapes perfectly unite with discreet vocals building very harmonical structures.
