Metropolis. The third release from Swords and the first to drop "Project" from it’s name, Metropolis is an appropriate title for a record that captures the modern day ennui, takes critical views on subjects from politics to the commercialization of art and loss of connection with your fellow man, all while never taking themselves too seriously, far from preaching and with a sense of solidarity, not alienation, perhaps inherent in a group that has to piece together the varied creative abilities of six highly distinct individuals. The old adage of the whole being greater then the sum of parts, has never applied more to a band. With Metropolis what Swords has succeeded brilliantly in, is harnessing their power, that explosive creativity and giving it greater shape and structure than ever before. Metropolis brings forth a new chapter for Swords, with brilliant promise. These six musicians, who combine their various talents, are set to take to the road in the Fall. In the meantime, take a moment to sit back and explore Metropolis. The whole of Swords are set to speak with you all.
