2006, Translation Loss
Chicago power trio American Heritage started off as an instrumental, math-rock experiment. They first added vocals on their 2003 split with Mastodon. On their second full-length album, Millenarian, they seem to have gotten the inscrutable experimentation out of their systems. Even vocals are still not much a part of the mix. That's because they're too busy using sound as a blunt force weapon. Simply put, through seven songs and a length of just under 36 minutes, Millenarian never lets up. - Hardcoresounds.net
