2012, Paper Bag Records
The alt-country road-warriors are set to release their fifth ablum Morning
Comes. The album was produced by Blue Rodeo’s Greg Keelor and is the first part of a two part album. "Morning Comes" is a concept record -- ten solid tracks that flow like a film or great novel, filled to the brim with emotional highs and lows, plot twists, and universal truths. Morning Comes includes the singles “Count on Me” and “The Time Is Right.”
Morning Comes isn't a collection of sad songs but rather, some of the most infectious pop and upbeat rock the band has crafted yet. The album continues the bands' tradition of sequencing A and B-sides, pressed on vinyl and released as a four-sided double album, with one side featuring an etching of the cover art and one side containing just one track, “Bound to Your Own Vices,” a song Wayne calls the album’s narrative and sonic turning point. True Canadiana at its finest, Cuff The Duke is a promising new act from across the borders. Morning Comes is without a doubt, an album to get your hands on.
