VINYL FORMAT. "If you are a fan of Cocteau Twins, as I am, you've been missing the voice of the band's former singer, Liz Fraser. Even though it's popped up now and again, like on Massive Attack's Teardrop, or on "All Flowers In Time Bend Towards The Sun" the unreleased, but widely circulated, duet with the late, great Jeff Buckley and on a 2006 live recording with Yann Tiersen. However, even though there were strong signs that the band would get back together in 2005, that never happened, and the dearth of Fraser's hypnotic, ethereal vocals went on. So the news today that Fraser has announced a new solo single, Moses, will come with open arms by her enduring fan base, even though there is some sadness around the reason why it came out. The single will serve as a tribute to her close friend, Jake Drake-Brockman, who plays on the song along with Fraser and Fraser's partner, Damon Reese of Massive Attack.
