3. Mosquito is a rock duo from Wakkerzeel/Kampenhout - Belgium. With powerful riffs and a solid drumbeat Mosquito releases a wall of rock upon you. Besides the two founding members - drummer Nico Kennes and guitarist Kevin Imbrechts - you will often find guest vocals and other musicians appearing on stage. Mosquito's main influences are Kyuss, Metallica andQueens of the Stone Age (as you can see the influences quite differ), but also smaller locals bands have an impact on Mosquito's music.

The members of Mosquito listen to the most various styles of music, making their sound not easy to define. Mosquito's music sounds like some kind of heavy riffrock combined with a vast amount of psychedelica. Although this probably isn't the most balanced description. 4. Mosquito is the sound of up and coming Producer, Matt Thomas, creating music that brings a ‘feel good' vibe whenever and wherever it is played, be it on TV, the Radio, or Dance floors across Europe and the US.

2006 has seen Mosquito go from strength to strength. In August Matt was chosen as one of the 100 finalists in X-Press 2’s “Kill 100” Remix competition. With combined download sales, Mosquito contributed to a Number 6 position in the UK Dance Chart, the track receiving widespread Club and Radio play.

Along with co-writer, and smooth, soulful vocalist Rob Elliott, their biggest success to date is their self-written track “San Frandisco”. A funky anthem, and favourite with media and fans alike, it became the soundtrack for the Christmas 2004 “Pringles” advert, airing to millions of people across the UK and Europe, and was heavily rotated on Heart FM. An electro reworking of “San Frandisco” by “Digital”, a Mosquito produced group, can currently be heard on CD Pool's November Dance Compilation, a showcase of the very best new tracks on the Dance scene, where it is fighting for attention along with the likes of Madonna and Janet Jackson. It can also be found on Whitedisc’s November compilation, going to DJs across Europe.

Mosquito’s music continues to do well on the UK and Ibiza Club scene, with support from a number of DJ’s. “San Frandisco” as featured in the Pringles advert proved to be a hot track in Ibiza last summer, as Matt and Rob headed to the party mecca in August for the Radio One Weekend, and helped by the isles finest DJ's, had the track filling dancefloors at Bora Bora , Itaca, Coastline and the legendary Space.
