Take the Lovers Home Tonight is unselfconscious, senseless, silly, messy, stains-and-all indie party music. Each one of Mother & the Addicts' members must play with his or her eyes bugged out, and if any one of them ever drops out during a song, it's only long enough to wipe off some sweat.
