- RESTOCK. This LA band's self-titled EP is a tangled, tight web of interlocking guitar and bass riffs, dark disco breakdowns, Gang Of Four-esque post-punk jangling, and new wave elements. They've been compared to New Order, Blondie, and The Cure, but they're not a retro act; they're an immediacy-choked slice of LA life, circa 2002. Features ex-members of THE FESTIVAL OF DEAD DEER and STRICTLY BALLROOM and has already received huge press from the likes of NME and Mojo. This EP also features eye-popping artwork from next wave underground hero Matt Damhave (of Imitation of Christ).
