After a year and a half of continuous touring throughout the US, Canada, and Europe, Cerberus Shoal have returned with their most grandiose gesture yet. "Mr. Boy Dog" marks a noticeable departure in sound, perhaps through retrospective reflection or just a radical change of influence. A monumental accomplishment spanning two discs, "Mr. Boy Dog" blurs the lines between avant rock, jazz, ambient, Middle Eastern and Russian folk, and Gamelan-inspired counterpoint, with seemingly effortless ease.
