| I'd heard that this was a good album and honestly the price clinched my purchase. I received it last week and I have listened to it two or three times everyday. The previous reviews talk about his singing abilities not being up to par but I find the times he strains to reach the notes part of the passion of the album. It is real. Real feelings, real recordings. Loved from beginning to end. | |

| What is there to say about the album. I fell in love with it from first listen. Definitely one of the few albums I can listen to start to finish without skipping a song, who would want to? The lyrics are thought-induced and thought-provoking. You may be concerned about his occasional inability to sing, but the imperfections in his singing is what makes this album that much more personal. The chosen instrumentation of each song is perfect. Bagpipes, trumpets, melodicas; interesting, yet fitting, choices. I wish they would make more music!!!! | |

| Simply one of the best and original albums I've have come across in my 19 years of life. The lyrics and voice patterns are outstanding. I will suggest this album to anyone, so buy it! There's nothing else out there like this. | |

| every time you think you have found a song on this album that you could stick on a mix tape for your mom, Mr. Mangum says something strange that you don't want her thinking about. Also you are secretly afraid she will say "You know dear, he can't really sing." This is an "album" album, and it is a grower. | |
