VINYL FORMAT. In the hills of East Alabama, Willem Maker has been honing his skills in virtual secrecy for the past decade. Deciding to step beyond the bedroom demos and occasional acoustic performances, Maker released last years' Stars Fell On. Maker has decided to move even further along with his follow up New Hand Moon. Recorded at several different locations including Memphis' Electraphonic Recordings with Scott Bomar and at Mark Nevers' (Will Oldham, Andrew Bird, etc.) Nashville studio The Beech House, New Hand Moon has a full guest cast of legendary Southern musicians such as Jim Dickinson, Cedric Burnside, Alvin Youngblood Hart, and many others.
