Sophomore release from Chicago's The Poison Arrows. Featuring former members of Don Caballero and Atombombpocketknife, with appearances from Pall Jenkins (The Black Heart Procession), Brian Case (Disappears, Ponys), Mia Clarke (Electrelane) and others, this seventy minute unthinkable Baudelaire-inspired drama unfolds with a dark swagger. Every track was completed as a chapter in an overarching tale of lives falling apart, then reconstruction, then reflection, and finally a vow to move forward. With bass guitar as the lead instrument, The Poison Arrows don't skimp on the additional details - their signature bass playing is more inspiring than ever, drums are nothing short of thunderous, and keyboards are at their most abstract.
