No One Listens to the Band Anymore

Coming off a transitional year for the band, The Damnwells are set to release No One Listens to the Band Anymore, an album funded entirely by fans through PledgeMusic.com. The album contains 12 new Damnwells songs recorded in Chicago with producer Neal Ostrovsky. The band has been referred to as a collaborative of great musicians and producers working with songs by lead singer/songwriter Alex Dezen. Dezen and Ted Hudson are the only two musicians who have remained a constant presence in the band over the years. No One Listens to the Band Anymore was written while Dezen was participating in the famed Iowa Writers' Workshop, getting his MFA and teaching at the University of Iowa. Writing songs so far from the music business - both physically and emotionally - provided Dezen with a fresh perspective that can be heard in the realness and authenticity of the songs.
